Here is a list of
attributes to get you started
These simple descriptions will provide you with
only a basic idea of the meanings of the cards. You MUST make meanings
of your own, however, drawing from your own observations and notes
in your journal and experiences as you practice with role playing
"inside" each card. You can then blend your understanding
of the cards with the traditional meanings if you like. There is
nothing wrong with infusing your own thoughts. In fact, if you come
to a different understanding of the "actual" traditional
meanings, the deck becomes truly new and unique only to you. So,
use the traditional as a guide only, stretch out with your intuition,
learn to make the cards your own! Remember to make notes in your
journal.
Don't be intimidated by cards that seem negative. In time, you will
be able to understand how negative images can be tools for
Empowerment
There are two separate areas
of the Tarot cards. The Major Arcana , the twenty-two cards depicting
major life events and The Minor Arcana which is made up of the number
or pip cards with an additional face card, the Knights. The Minor
Arcana are the more mundane or ordinary life events. Let's look
at some traditional Major Arcana meanings blended with some of my
own.

Use the following
guide to determine the importance of a situation in relation to
its value
· 1. Plant a seed
· 2. See it sprout
· 3. Watch it bloom
· 4. See it bear fruit
· 5. Challenge/Choose to proceed or retreat
· 6. Second Chance/Start over/Try Again
· 7. Attain Control
· 8. Attain balance
· 9. Complete the Cycle/Mastery
· 10. Begin a new Cycle
Here's an example
Aces are 1's
The Suit of Rods is about ideas, intellect, growth. creativity,
fertility
So the Ace of Rods represents perhaps the begining of a new idea
that is creative. For someone thinking about having a baby or starting
an artistic endeavour, or wondering if they should, this might be
the signal to go ahead!
