Now you are ready to try some sample readings. Relax, get out your journal, Think about what you want to know. Do whatever ritual you have planned.

· Form a question in your mind.
· Thoroughly shuffle the cards.
· Cut the deck into three piles and restack them any way that you feel is right.
· Turn over the top card.
· Follow the method for How To Read Any Tarot Card. Describe the details of the card as thoroughly as you can.

You have just done your first reading!
What did the card "tell" you?
Do this one card reading each day.
Record them in your journal for later comparison

The layout of the cards is not important. What is important is that the reading progresses from the first card chosen to the last in logical order like a "story". One sentence, one card at a time.
Choose from the deck, after shuffling and cutting the cards three times, and then restacking them, the top 10 cards. Begin your "story" with the first card linking them together as you go.

Let's try Something Else
Pick out one or more of the cards shown here.
You should be able to move and rearrange them with your mouse in an order you like.
Create a "story" using all of the cards.
Move them around and CHANGE the story AGAIN. Write down your results.

I have drawn the following 10 cards
· XIII Death
· XV Devil
· 9 of Swords
· 4 of Pentacles
· King of Rods
· 0 Fool
· 6 of Cups
· 3 of Pentacles
· Ace of Rods
· XXI The World

My question.....Will I be able to become self employed again?

XIII and XV show approaching change which can be accomplished easier if I am not afraid to get beyond my own fear and imaginary boundaries. Slip off my imaginary bindings and get past my own boundaries. The changes coming will be a transition from one phase of life to another and with be permanent. 9 of Swords shows the beginning of the end of struggles and being able to communicate my need for change to someone. Walking away from stresses and moving on. Feeling the fresh new air like opening a window.
4 of Pentacles shows that maybe I have been too afraid to ask anyone to help, too afraid to confide in anyone, based on an intutive feeling. Perhaps I should not be so suspicious. Allow someone to assist me in some way.
The King of Rods is two things, first he is a person who will figure in my decision and he also represents the end of struggling, finally getting there.
O the Fool shows go for it, try something new, be spontaneous and ready to change when the moment presents itself.
6 0f cups shows I am emotionally ready and can draw on past experiences and knowledge. Do something I know how to do and can feel good about.
3 of Pentacles shows that I know intuitively I can do it plus I have a skill I can use which other people can see.
Ace of Rods shows the first burst of creativity and the beginning of using my intellect to succeed. The firey burst of creative power.
Finally XXI says I will not only do it but it will be really great and will feel the freedom of accomplishment.

Have you noticed I do not read the cards in the reverse? I never do. The reason is simply that I take the cards at "face" value. What you see is what you get. However, should you decide to explore the reversed meanings, by all means, do so, that is your option. It is said that the reversed meaning are perhaps the opposite or lesser in meaning than the upright.
You may have also noticed that I have not said to "concentrate" on your questions.
Concentration, I believe, prevents you from thinking freely and openly.
You must allow your feelings to just flow.
Know what you need "to ask". Don't try to PULL the answers out of the Universe. Relax, get to know yourself and the cards.

Make you own layouts.
Ten cards should be a manageable number.
Decide what the positions of the cards mean for your layout pattern.
Remember to begin at the beginning from the first card chosen to the last, which is always your conclusion.
Don't cloud your progress by doing several readings about one subject. Let the first one stand as your result.
